Chaos Artwork

A visual love letter to the Philippines — this illustration captures the layered chaos of street life with warmth, rhythm, and nostalgic detail. What looks chaotic to others feels like home to me.

About The Project

This piece was inspired by home — the beautiful chaos of everyday life in the Philippines. 🇵🇭 I wanted to capture the noisy, colorful energy of the streets: vendors calling out, jeepneys navigating narrow roads, tangled wires, and fleeting moments of calm tucked in between.

I began with sketches based on real street scenes and memories, then built the composition using warm tones, layered textures, and a cast of small characters. Every detail — from the balut signage to the clustered food stalls — was chosen to reflect the charm, movement, and everyday poetry of Filipino city life.

The result is a piece that embraces the noise, celebrates the mess, and feels deeply familiar.

It’s loud. It’s real. It’s home.
