I'm Charisse!
Design is my bread and butter—and honestly, my happy place. I’ve poured my heart into building brands that feel true to the people behind them: bold, beautiful, and full of purpose. I’m all about dreaming big, showing up with heart, and making things that actually matter.
My journey into design wasn’t as magical as the creative field itself. It actually started during an existential crisis I had back in 2018, around the time of the pandemic. I didn’t know where to go or what to do. I was studying Psychology, but deep down, I wasn’t happy. I kept wondering if it was really for me.
Then graphic design came into the picture. I had no idea what I was doing, but I gave it a shot. I learned everything on my own, with a lot of support from my family — they even learned design with me. My then-boyfriend, now husband, taught me the basics. From there, it was up to me to figure out the rest. I remember crying over Adobe Illustrator thinking, “Why is this so hard?” But I kept going.
I fell in love with creating. I went from simple graphics to branding, then websites, and eventually UI/UX. It was a chaotic, beautiful mess. I didn’t realize I was capable of doing all this until I looked back. There were hundreds, maybe even thousands, of revisions, but each one brought me closer to discovering where I truly belong.
With a lot of courage and hard work, I moved out at 21, got married at 22, and migrated to Canada at 23. Strong move? I must say, it was both a smart and creative one. I’ve designed not just for clients but for my life too — made it more colourful and meaningful through every decision.
The pandemic delayed my college completion, but it led me to pursue a diploma here in Canada. And now, I get to live out my dream. My goal is to help the beautiful people behind the beautiful brands bring their vision to life. Beyond just creating, I’m driven by a deep desire to inspire others and help them believe in what they’re truly capable of.
Life is very creative. And I know — it’s easier said than done. But believe me, you’ll get there, and the journey will shape you in ways you never expected. Nothing comes easy. I’ve proven it myself. Just keep going, be kind, live your dream, and choose the right people to surround yourself with. There’s a lot more I’d love to share, but I’ll save that for a chat. I’m always down for that!
